Nolberto Castro

Nolberto was born in Chile. He graduated in 1997 with a degree in International Business (Import / Export). He worked in finance and personnel management for the Army of Chile for 9 years. After moving to Utah in 1997, he married Eileen. Nolberto has been working for JCPenney in the area of Accounting and Finance since 1999. He was nominated by the State of Utah's Governor John Huntsman, Jr. and the current Governor Gary R. Herber to be a member of Hispanic / Latino of Utah.

Nolberto has worked with the Utah Chilean Community since 2002 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Chilean Community of Utah.

Julio Otay

Julio Otay was born in Puerto Varas, Chile. He came to the United States in 2001. He is a graduate of Foreign Trade in 2001. After a long search for opportunities, he traveled to the United States to learn English and learn more about American culture. It is here where he met his wife Sarah. He married in April 2002. Julio and Sarah have three children. Julio currently works for Zions Bancorp in the Department of Analysis of Account, the Division of Treasury Management.

Julio has worked with the Utah Chilean Community since 2007 and currently serves as CEO of Utah Chilean Community.

Miguel Antonio Cabrera

Antonio Miguel Cabrera was born in Santiago, Chile, graduating in 2000 with a degrees in marketing and finance. Miguel has worked in the mortgage industry for the past 7 years. Miguel is also an international representative for MC Services and a board member of the Utah Chilean Community.

Miguel has worked with the Utah Chilean Community since 2005.

Jorge Iturrieta

Jorge was born in Chile and lived mostly in the north and Viña del Mar. He graduated as a graphic designer from Valparaiso University and came to USA in 1981 where he finished his studies and practiced his profession. He taught high school for 14 years and did business management of imports and exports in the mining sector in California. He is a proud father of three children to whom he instilled his passion for creating, painting, writing and cooking. His various jobs have taken him to travel and live in places as remote and beautiful as Thailand, Peru, Chile, California. He now resides in Utah where he works for Alphagraphics.

Jorge has worked with the Utah Chilean Community since 2009.

Juan Sanchez

Juan was born in Santiago de Chile. He graduated from the Network Administrator program and in 2006 and became interested in Graphic Design. He came to the United States with study goals and plans to start his own business. He is currently married to Natalie and they have a 3 years old daughter named Camilla. Juan found the opportunity to serve as a Chilean Community Marketing Assistant. He is currently studying at the University of Utah with studies in Graphic Design.

Juan has worked with the Utah Chilean Community since 2009.

Cristóbal Márquez

Cristóbal Márquez is a native of Santiago, Chile. He completed the training programs at Teatro de Municipal de Chile and the University of Chile.

Cristóbal came to the United States at the invitation of Houston Ballet as a performer and student and has also danced with Colorado Ballet, Columbia Classical Ballet, and Nevada Ballet Theatre and as a guest for national and international ballet companies. He achieved his greatest goal by representing the Republic of Chile at the Lincoln Center in N.Y.C. in 2005 dancing the pas de deux from La Fille Mal Gardee. He has worked with Ivan Nagy, Ben Stevenson, Martin Friedman, Ricardo Bustamante, was coached by Hector Zaraspe and performed under the direction of choreographers Michael Pink, Christopher Wheeldon, Peter Anastos and many others.

Cristóbal still performs as a guest artist and has served as guest faculty for ballet intensives and has privately coached students for international ballet competitions. Cristóbals’ passion for teaching began in Chile while working for Remolino Dance Theatre and the Ministry of Education for the Performing Arts. In this capacity he performed at international festivals throughout South America and had the honor of performing for the President of Chile.

Cristóbal Márquez was the co-founder of Salt Lake Ballet Conservatory and the Salt Lake City Ballet in Utah. Cristóbal has also been a part of the American Ballet Competition in 2009 as an advisor. In April 2010 he opened his own Conservatory and he is very excited to be in Salt Lake City.

David Mosier

David Mosier was born in Ohio, USA and has lived in Utah since he was 12. He was married in 2002 and has 3 kids of which he is extremely proud. David currently works as the IT Director at a Utah Top 100 company.

David is the webmaster for the Utah Chilean Community. He is a self-taught computer expert and enjoys programming for community and open source projects. The language and database features of this site as well as the domain and email hosting are all contributed by him.
