The Utah Chilean Community is a Non-Profit organization under 501 © 3 of the IRS code. Founded in January 2009 and registered in the State of Utah. The Chilean community; was originally organized in 1998, when Angel Gonzalez with other Chileans decided to legally organize the community. The original name was Chilean Community of Utah.

Angel dedicated his life and much of his time to serving his community. For many years Angel, Nolberto Castro and other Chileans organized the Annual celebration of Independence of Chile. In April of 2008, we established the foundation of a folk dance Group called “Viva Chile”. This group has done a great representation of our culture in schools, churches, various summer festivals throughout the state, and welcome performance to public officials from Chile who has visited the State of Utah.

Through the years more people have joined us and we are working on organizing more activities, projects and other social events to help us unite and remind us of our culture and traditions.
